The Kentucky YMCA Youth Association is a not-for-profit organization committed to ensuring access to our programs to all interested students. Scholarships (formerly known as financial aid) for KY YMCA programming are available.

• Scholarship applications are due two weeks before the conference registration deadline the student is attending (Deadlines for specific KYA and KUNA sessions can be found on the respective program website page)
• In order to be considered for a scholarship, a student and their parent or guardian must fully complete and submit the Scholarship Application.
• The Board of Directors of the Kentucky YMCA has designated contributed funds to ensure those unable to pay the stated fees are able to participate in the wide range of teen programs offered by this Association.
• Need-Based Scholarship applications may take up to 10 business days to process.
• NBS applications should be submitted and processed prior to registration submission. Schools will need to request invoice edits if processed after their submission for KYA and KUNA conferences; if not requested it will not apply to the overall invoice and the cost to the student.
• No refunds/invoice changes are available for scholarships processed after the payment deadline (KYA/KUNA) or individual registration has been submitted (GFI/LTC).

How to Apply for a Need Based Scholarship

• Log into the portal
• Go to the left navigation menu
• Select the first program you hope to use the scholarship for
• Under that select overview 
• Scroll down to the blue boxes and find Need Based Scholarship
• Select Go to Form

• Log into the portal
• Go to the left navigation menu
• Select the first program you hope to use the scholarship for
• Under that select overview 
• Scroll down to the chart with your child’s name
• Click the links to fill out the Need Based Scholarship Form
• When the form has been filled out, a green checkmark will appear
