2025 KYA Changes
After each KYA season we take feedback from advisors, students and KY YMCA staff to continually improve our programming. This document shows the changes that resulted from the feedback that we received after KYA 2024: 2025 KYA Changes Doc.
To help your delegation prepare for KYA, we’ve organized all of the resources you’ll need on this online resource page. Our resources are divided into the following sections:
- Advisor Resources – resources for Advisors to utilize when preparing their KYA delegations and logistics
- Program Area Resources – resources to assist students in preparing for their various roles in our KYA program areas: Bluegrass and Commonwealth House & Senate, Cabinet & Lobbyists, Supreme Court, and Media Corps

Visitor's Policy
Please review our Visitor's Policy below:
- All visitors must visibly wear a KYYMCA Visitor Lanyard at all times and return it upon departure.
- Visitors must be at least 19 years of age. Anyone 18 years of age or younger (ie. fellow students, siblings, etc.) are permitted to visit during candidate speeches on the first night and closing session on the final day. These visitors must have a guardian accompany them and sign in as a visitor.
- Visitors must remain with the school’s advisor at all times.
- Visitors are not permitted on sleeping room floors.
- Visitors are not permitted before or after program curfew.
- Visitors are not permitted during meal times, mandatory fun time, or free time unless approved by the Conference Director.

Forms Required at Assembly
All Students and Adults are required to complete their Info form, health form and Code of Conduct Agreement prior to registration. Each person needs to log in with their own email address at kyymcaportal.org

- The Legislative Research Commission (HS CW Only) - Bill sponsors can meet with presiding officers in the fall. All bills that are Constitutional will be given the LRC Seal of approval on their CW bill in their conference bill book!
