I was born and raised in East Moline, IL, graduated from Hope College (Holland, MI) in 2020, and immediately moved to Colorado Springs to start my career in education after finishing my final semester student teaching in Denver. I’ve always been drawn to work that connects people to the communities and resources that move them toward their personal and professional goals. I spent four years teaching elementary school and genuinely loved so many aspects of the job. I transitioned my skills into the nonprofit sector in 2024 and found myself in a membership success and engagement role at the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC. In this position, I managed relationships with more than 1,200 members and supported networking programming for the small and mid-sized business community of Colorado Springs.
Outside of work, you’ll find me either reading a book (rom-com or historical fiction, mostly), watching a true-crime documentary or one of my beloved comfort shows (Gilmore Girls, of course), browsing thrift stores for something worth rescuing, attempting to make a loaf of sourdough, or working on a paint-by-number that has absolutely no deadline. I hold a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and an M.S. in Management and Leadership. I’m a military spouse, which has taught me how to build community quickly and find purpose in the people and experiences life puts in front of you. My husband and I are currently putting down roots in Louisville, KY, and I’m excited to bring that same spirit of connection and intentionality to this next chapter of my career with the KY YMCA Youth Association.
