The Kentucky YMCA Youth Association is one of 51 YMCA Youth and Government Programs in the United States. We are a state-wide organization providing Kentucky’s 6th - 12th graders with proven character and leadership development programs that provide youth opportunities to participate in civic engagement, outreach, voter registration drives, and much more. Our current programs, which are head across the Commonwealth include:

About Us
Founded by a state charter in 1890, the Kentucky YMCA Youth Association (KY YMCA) is a Section 501(c)(3) charitable organization. In 2025, KY YMCA earned certifications from the Better Business Bureau and Guidestar, and were verified under the Community Reinvestment Act.
Our mission is to develop engaged citizens and servant leaders, inspired to affect change in their school, community, Commonwealth, nation, and world. Through experiential learning, service, and community activism, the Kentucky YMCA Youth Association fosters critical thinking, leadership, and social responsibility in teens.
