Y-Corps Overview
Y-Corps is a dynamic service-learning program for 9th – 12th grade students who are passionate about making a difference in their communities, across Kentucky, and beyond. This multi-month program empowers students to engage in meaningful service while developing leadership skills and fostering a lifelong commitment to servant leadership.
Participants will:
- Serve Locally & Beyond – Complete direct and indirect service projects in their communities, with goals set by their team.
- Fundraise for Scholarships – Practice philanthropy by raising funds for the KY YMCA Youth Association's Scholarship Fund, with goals based on their Y-Corps experience.
- Advocate for Change – Represent their Y-Corps teams and the YMCA Movement by championing service and civic engagement.
The program culminates in a multi-day service trip, where students travel to different communities, serving alongside local organizations and deepening their understanding of social responsibility. Trip locations are assigned and announced after registration closes.
