Becca was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. She is a proud University of Kentucky Wildcat, graduating in 2021 with her BA in Art Education. Shortly after graduation, she accepted a position at an all-girls school in New Orleans, Louisiana. During her time in New Orleans, she completed her MBA at Louisiana State University at Shreveport. While she loves the city dearly, there is no place like home, so she packed up and returned to Kentucky!

To accompany her love of art and creativity, Becca led the UK Art Education Student Chapter throughout college. She believes firmly in connecting with the community through art, and so, organized activities for events such as See Art Day and Roots & Heritage Festival. Her most proud project to date is a large mural residing in the cafeteria of Booker T. Washington Elementary School in Fayette County. Through her leadership, UKAESC was able to teach children around central Kentucky about the value of education and creativity.

Becca is most excited to collaborate with KY YMCA as Director of Character Development to provide teens with the opportunity to develop their own sense of self, community, and advocacy. She believes teens should be provided with a space to grow alongside others, and that their feedback on the world around them is essential to growth as a community. Becca also believes education is the key to building a better future, and that education should expand beyond a traditional classroom setting.

When she is not working, Becca loves to be outdoors, whether she is hiking, playing in a creek, or just sitting in the backyard. Along with her love of being in nature, she enjoys creating art about nature, particularly bugs and plants. Becca is also passionate about traveling and can often be found exploring with her partner and their dog, Doug.
