Y-CORPS INSTITUTE PROGRAMMING

After we announce our Y-Corps teams each winter, the program officially kicks-off at the Y-Corps Institute – a required training where Y-Corps participants will be trained in the 4 types of service at the core of the program:

  • Indirect & Direct Service – Planning and Executing Service, Networking, Building Partnerships with Community Organizations, and Coordinating Regional Projects
  • Philanthropy – Donor Identification and Cultivation, Fundraising Strategies, and Donation Management
  • Advocacy – YMCA History and Mission, Advocating for Y-Corps, Storytelling, Communications and Social Media

The purpose of this Institute is to prepare our teams to meet their service and fundraising requirements. However, it will also teach them the fundamentals of Y-Corps culture and allow them to spend time getting to know their fellow Y-Corps members.
