Q. Who runs KUNA?

KUNA is run by elected student officers, but professional Y-Staff members, teachers, volunteer advisors, and adult volunteers are always present to keep things running smoothly and safely.

 

Q. Where is KUNA held?

KUNA is held at Marriott, Crowne Plaza, or Galt House Hotels in Louisville, Kentucky.

 

Q. Which KUNA do I attend?

Students in Grades 6-8 attend Middle School KUNA. Your delegation may choose which conference to attend based upon which dates work best for you on a first come, first serve basis.

Students in Grades 9-12 will attend High School KUNA. Your delegation may choose which conference to attend based upon which dates work best for you on a first come, first serve basis.

 

Q. How do I reserve a country?

Use the Intent & Country Request Form to see country availability at each Assembly and reserve your country/countries.

 

Q. What are the program fees?

  • $240 for Student Y Members and $250 for non-Student Y Members. There is a $10 discount per student for on time completed registration and payment. To affiliate as a Student Y, complete the Affiliation Process.
  • $135 for Advisors (sharing a hotel room – may be paired with an advisor from another delegation). Private rooms may be available for an additional fee.
  • For every 15 students attending KUNA, you get $135 discount towards advisor fees (discount value is equal to 1 advisor sharing a room)
    **Please note: Advisor discount may not exceed $135 per advisor attending.
  • These fees include: Lodging, Day 2 Lunch and Dinner, Day 3 Breakfast, and program materials

 

Q. Are there scholarships/financial aid available?

The Kentucky YMCA is committed to enabling access to our programs to all interested students. Need-based financial aid is available. In order to be considered for financial assistance, a student and his/her parent or guardian must fully complete the financial assistance request form and submit it to the Kentucky YMCA no later than your conference’s deadline (click here). You can obtain a financial assistance form here or from your regional director.
