What is Go For It?

The Go For It! Conference is a three-day inspirational and motivational experience that gives today's teens opportunities to develop their character and self worth, share the thrill of empowerment, and strengthen the art of communication with their peers. Students have the opportunity to reflect on the school year to date, share their perspectives with their peers in a relaxed environment, and chart options for their futures. Such activities instill a sense of ownership among them and help them better meet the challenges that face them daily. Teens from across the Commonwealth will come together to share in a weekend of personal growth.

Who should attend Go For It?

Students in grades 6 through 12 who are interested in learning more about themselves while having a wonderful time with amazing teems from all over the state should attend Go For It! We will have two separate conferences: Junior Go For It for students in grades 6-8, and Senior Go For It for students in grades 9-12. We feel this division by age will provide the most appropriate and comfortable experience possible for everyone. Unlike the Youth Assembly or Model U.N., students do not attend Go For It as a group with an advisor from the school. Students register and attend Go For It individually.

Program Curriculum Includes:

Clarifying Values, Uncapping leadership potential, Celebrating Diversity, Building and strengthening relationships, Discussing current social issues, Setting goals and action steps

 Where will Go For It be held?

The conference will be held at the Kentucky Leadership Center in Jabez, KY. Located conveniently in Central Kentucky, this retreat center offers a scenic and comfortable setting for our weekend experience.

What is included in the cost of Go For It?

The fee includes:

~Dinner Saturday, 3 meals Sunday, Breakfast Monday

~Cozy Winterized Rooms

~Program Materials

~Insurance

~Hoodie Sweatshirt (if paid in full by January 4th)

You will be sent a map and a "what to bring" confirmation letter one week prior to the conference.
