You are here:  LTC

Leadership Training Conference

What is the Leadership Training Conference?

At LTC, teens focus on innovative opportunities to develop
character and self worth, build leadership skills, share the thrill
of empowerment, and strengthen the art of communication with
peers. At LTC, we will help youth learn to face daily challenges
by creating an open atmosphere for personal growth. Teens will
explore and clarify values, goals, and dreams through large and
small group interaction. Hundreds of teens from across Kentucky
will come together to share in this unique experience. We invite
you to join us this summer and be a part of the LTC spirit!

Who should attend LTC?

Any student who has completed grades 6 through 12 who is
interested in learning more about themselves in a fun atmosphere
should attend LTC! Unlike other Kentucky YMCA-hosted
conferences, participants register and attend individually,
rather than with a school delegation.

LTC will allow teens to:
• clarify values
• uncap leadership potential
• celebrate diversity
• build and strengthen relationships
• discuss current social issues
• set goals and action steps
• learn how to mentor other students

Program Curriculum Includes:

Clarifying values, uncapping leadership potential, celebrating diversity, building and strengthening relationships, discussing current social issues, setting goals and action steps, learning to be a mentor.
