Conference On National Affairs

Selected delegates from Kentucky debate their peers from across the country at the weeklong event held at the YMCA Conference Center in beautiful Black Mountain, North Carolina. National Affairs was created in 1968 as a way to bring together teens from America's Youth in Government and Model UN programs. State Officers, outstanding speakers, and exceptional proposal presenters from 35 states will assemble to present and debate current issues in this unique environment. Each of the nearly 500 delegates must submit a proposal on a matter of national or international concern.

Pre-requisites:  Attending CONA is among one of the highest honors recognized by the YMCA throughout America. If you are an upperclassman and serve on the Executive Committee or as an elected officer, or receive a speaking award at Sr. KYA or Sr. KUNA and do not receive your invitation to CONA, please contact the office at 502-227-7028.
