Alumni Opportunities

The Kentucky YMCA helps to build socially responsible civic leaders who go on to affect positive change in their community, commonwealth, nation, and world.  As teens and young adults venture out into the broader world, the KY Y offers opportunities for them to stay connected, engaged, and motivated.  Through continued involvement in KY YMCA programming, alumni have the chance to develop professional skills, build relationships with a wide range of individuals, and apply the skills they have learned. By offering internship, programming, service, and career opportunities for alumni, the KY YMCA remains truly committed to developing Leadership for a Lifetime.

Service to the World
A capacity-building program that gives young adults (18-30) the opportunity to promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility through work with YMCAs around the globe.  This year, STTW will travel to Israel and the Palestinian Territories for two weeks of service and cultural immersion with the Jerusalem International YMCA, the East Jerusalem YMCA, and several other community organizations and NGOs.

Work for the Y

We have several openings for interns who can perform various services throughout the state including working in local schools, coordinating volunteer events, data entry, and many other tasks.

Go Global

Go Global is a voluntary service and capacity-building program that places young adults (18+) from the United States and Canada with overseas YMCAs and other community organizations/NGOs. Go Global volunteers fully immerse themselves in the culture of their host countries and work in fields such as capacity building, youth development, English instruction, general administration. Volunteers gain first hand knowledge of the social issues, challenges and successes of their host country, community and our global village.
